Strolly

Strolly is a complete walking meditation app template: a day-by-day guided journey that unlocks one session at a time, an audio player that caches sessions for offline playback, daily streaks, favorites, an onboarding quiz, email + password auth and a standalone unguided timer. Built with React Native, TypeScript and Expo 54 (Expo Router), backed by Supabase, and shipping with ready-to-build native projects for both iOS and Android.

Highlights

• Onboarding quiz collects user preferences before sign-up; questions are plain arrays you can edit
• Home tab with today's unlocked session and daily streak; Explore tab lists the full journey with locked/unlocked/completed states
• Progression-based unlocking: completing day N unlocks day N+1, stored per user in Supabase and mirrored locally for instant startup
• Meditation detail screen with hero image and favorite toggle, plus a full audio player with skip and seek
• Audio is cached on device after first play, so sessions run offline afterwards
• Standalone Timer tab: unguided session with a circular progress ring and completion chime
• Favorites and Profile tabs, profile settings and daily streak tracking
• Email + password auth via Supabase Auth, with a 6-digit password recovery flow

Technology

• React Native + TypeScript on Expo 54 with Expo Router route groups, iOS 17+ and Android SDK 24+
• Zustand stores (auth, profile, streak, meditation, timer) with AsyncStorage persistence
• Supabase auth and Postgres: meditations table (publicly readable) and profiles table (owner-only via Row Level Security) plus a media storage bucket
• 2 Edge Functions: password-recovery (optional Resend email) and delete-account with server-side verification
• Audio playback and caching through react-native-track-player with background audio mode

Requirements

• Free Supabase account: run the included schema.sql, upload your mp3 audio and cover images to the media bucket, then paste your project URL and anon key into .env
• Optional free Resend account for password-reset emails
• macOS with Xcode 15+ for the iOS build; Android Studio for the Android build; Node 18+ (a dev client build is required, Expo Go will not load the native audio module)
